The Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation has formed a network of 100,000 scientists from the Islamic world, selected from 900 global scientific centers. This remarkable achievement positions the foundation as a key hub for scientific collaboration and innovation. By supporting students and providing research opportunities, the Mustafa Prize is working towards becoming a prestigious global award.
Two professors from the University of Tehran, Dr. Hanif Qalandari and Dr. Hassan Amini, have published an article exploring the astronomical works of the Islamic period. Their research focuses on the “Kharghi Star Table,” a star table from Islamic period astronomy that lists the names of stars along with their ecliptic coordinates and luminosity. The article has been published in English in Tehran University’s journal of Science.
During the signing of a tripartite cooperation memorandum of the network of virtual universities of the Islamic world with the Union of Universities of the Caucasus region and the International University D8, the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting international scientific, academic, and technological activities in the Islamic world. The memorandum aims to promote cooperation, interaction, and active international scientific, cultural, and technological participation in the Islamic world.
For the first time, the officials of fifteen leading countries in science and technology met on December 3rd. This meeting was held by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the capital of Pakistan.
