“Bridging Shiite Culture and Knowledge with the World”

The Islamic world, especially Shiite, has great culture and knowledge but is not very well known internationally.

With this in mind, the Tolou International Institute wishes to provide help and a solution, to converge Shiite ideas internationally.

The director of this center explains in detail the objectives and purpose of this center:

1. What goals, plans, and activities have you set for your scientific and cultural institute, Tolou, to promote Shiite culture, and how do you help achieve these goals?

One of the most important goals of the Tolou International Cooperation Center is to create a cohesive and specialized network for scientific and cultural exchange and interactions in the field of humanities, especially Shiite knowledge and studies. However, there are other important goals to consider, such as:

1. Creating suitable conditions and foundations to strengthen religious convergence and the approximation of ideas
2. Scientific and practical synergy with target communities around the world to disseminate the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and promote unity-driven interactions
3. Establishing a cohesive communication network among Shiite scholars and researchers
4. Monitoring and introducing the most important and latest works of Shiite studies by Orientalists and the activities of Shiite research centers worldwide
5. Sending credible Shiite resources to libraries and scientific centers around the world
6. Organizing webinars, seminars, and joint conferences
7. Presenting selected works and ideas of Shiite scholars
8. Launching an English group of Shiite studies with the membership of Shiite researchers worldwide.

 

2. What distinguishes your institute from other existing international Shiite institutions?

One of the distinguishing features of the Tolou International Institute is in the area of content distribution and sharing. Many institutions focus on content production, such as producing magazines, writing books, and generating ideas. However, the Tolou International Institute focuses on sharing, relationships, and interactions with an approach centered on exchanging ideas and cultural commonalities.

 

3. What experiences and achievements have you had in the international field regarding scientific and cultural issues?

“We are at the beginning of our way.

Our organization has many potential achievements.

For example, the website of the International Institute of Tolou aims to pursue good goals and, God willing, after its inauguration, it can have a significant impact on the convergence among different religions.

Additionally, the webinars that we will hold with reputable international institutions can be a significant step in transferring and sharing the pure teachings of Shia Islam.”
